An outrider is the one who goes first. So is this list.

They ride ahead of the group, scout the route and have everything ready before anyone else arrives. The list works the same way: you hear before the rest of campus does.

Telluride, before everyone else

The destination
  • Telluride's brick Main Street and clock tower, a snow-covered peak rising straight up behind.
    Main Street
  • A gondola cabin above the valley with the San Juans behind.
    The free gondola
  • A skier in a pink jacket turning through deep powder among snow-loaded pines.
    Knee-deep by lunch
  • A young man in a mustard sweater laughing across a candlelit dinner table.
    Main Street, 8 pm
  • Main Street at dusk through strings of big colored holiday bulbs, the mountains behind.
    The town after dark
  • Skiers on the sunny deck outside the old timber saloon at Gorrono Ranch, mid-mountain.
    Gorrono Ranch
  • Two friends in retro ski suits warming their hands over a fire pit as snow falls at night.
    The end of the day

Before you sign up

The rest are on the full FAQ.

  • Does joining cost anything, or commit me to a trip?
No. Joining is free and holds nothing. You hear when trips open, before they go public, and decide then.
  • What will you send me?
A short note now confirming you’re on the list, then one email when a trip opens. Every message has a one-click unsubscribe.
  • When do trips go on sale?
They’re open now. Dates, packages and pricing are on the trips page.
  • Can my friends and I book together?
Yes. Everyone books their own spot, and a group code keeps you together for rooming, so no single person is holding everyone else’s money. Send them this page and they can join the list too.
  • Who is Outrider?
We host small-group ski weeks and spring break trips for college students. One property for the whole group, everything planned before you land, and our team with you the whole trip. Why we run it this way, or write to bookings@outrider.travel.
